Let me first say Welcome to the these wonderful Forums and I must give you some props for subjecting yourself to the critique forum so early on.

For me, and this is more personal, I would like to have one subject in the shot, I like the green gear/wheel but then my eye zooms over to the tall triangular structure in the back that looks way more interesting. Then I start wondering what that thing is, which looks also like a really good subject to shoot.

Simply put I think there is too much in the frame. but a great photograph to view.

I like it, it a very interesting photo, with good colour and sharpness. The only thing I find distracting is the building on the far left. Maybe you could have shot the picture by standing a little to the left, to exclude the building - however I am not too sure you could have gotten the same effect with the foreground 'wheel' if you had done that.
By the way, I really enjoyed your gallery, nice work.

On a side note, I am thinking of buying the wide angle lens. Is it wide enough? What I mean is, does it feel you are getting a lot more in, and is it worth it?

Wide converter: depends on how much you would like to have in. It gives you a possibility to go as wide as 24.5 mm equivalent from 35 mm equivalent and for me it is good. It does feel that more is in the frame. The shot of original topic is shot with it at widest angle anf here is another example:

Here I placed two examples of the same subject shot shortly after each other. This one

is wide native angle of 35 mm equivalent and this one

http://www.pbase.com/image/28180755

is the same frame with wide converter at 24.5 equivalent

Awesome colors and capturing the life!

Your pictures just make me all the more excited to be heading to Copenhagen for 6 months for my studies.

Thanks for the comparisons, after reading your post I got the itch and went out and bought one!! Can't wait to try it out this weekend.
Now all I have to worry about is my next credit card bill

I am very impressed with the colour and exposure of this picture. The problem part is the composure which is a bit more subjective. I like your idea and the title of the piece shows the thought that you gave it and intention. I think the structure above the wheel is a bit intrusive and a distraction. It might have been better more to the left so that the triangle shape bridged and framed the subject - who knows? I would also have liked to see a tighter crop shot portrait...

Nice idea. Again, lovely exposure etc.

Thanks for posting
