Both of my CF cards now produce "CF card full"( when they are not) - when I format I get the E50 and shutdown. Have I stuffed the cards format/file structure by browsing using the windows explorer rather than zoombrowser... any ideas? Have found no information on canon site...

It sounds like you're using a CF card reader to read the cards in Windows. Right-click on the drive and there should be a format option to do it in Windows. If that doesn't work, something may be wrong with your cards.

Thanks Rustle. I managed to fix it, formatting in the camera failed - formatting in the computer failed. The solution was to format in the computer first then reformat in the camera seems to restore the file structure and solve the problem. Why both cards ended up with bad file structures is now the worry.

My various "E" problems kept coming back - ended up having my ixus serviced at great expense ....... sorry for suggesting a dud "E" fix.

Hi there
I have the e50 and shutdown right now.
What have I done? Is it something to do with Windows XP and FAT32 formatting as I have read elsewhere?
Is service the only solution?
Thanks in advance for any help
Simon
