Hello
I am having all sorts of problems downloading images from my IXUS to PC via USB Cable. I am using zoombrowser to bring them in but program freezes after 2,3,4,5 or 6 images.Different result each time. The images that do come through work fine.
Can anyone help please?

The problem may be in the software installation or your USB hardware. Try Downloader from Breeze Systems (www.breezesys.com). It's a free program and it works a lot better than Zoombrowser in terms of speed and functionality.

If Downloader doesn't work, then you may have a hardware problem.

Thanks Russ
I downloaded as you suggested however no luck as same problem occurring with Downloader. It appears as if usb port is cacheing however I have no idea where to look to fix problem.
I have uninstalled and installed usb card several times with same result. I have upgraded driver from microsoft as well as Dlink(manufacturer of card). I have emailed Dlink for help but they have chosen not to respond as yet.
Has anyone got any idea?

Try using Downloader with another computer to make sure that the problem isn't your camera. If it runs fine, I'd exchange the USB card at the store (if it's a recent purchase) to see if it's defective.

What operating system are you running?

I have used camera and usb cable on another PC using both zoombrowser and downloader and they worked no problems.
I am running w98 SE as operating system.
Problem is card works okay with other usb devices.
