hi, i'm looking for a off camera cord for my 430EX/30D.

i find 2 deals on ebay

1. other brand like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/E-TTL-Off-Camera-Shoe-Cord-for-Canon-EOS-30-20D-10D-5D_W0QQitemZ160098405369QQcategoryZ64354QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem

2. canon from Hong Kong

http://cgi.ebay.com/Canon-Off-Camera-Shoe-Cord-2-for-580EX-550EX-430EX-NEW_W0QQitemZ200094083437QQcategoryZ64354QQcmdZVie wItem

my questions are :

1. how big difference between canon cord & other brand cord? for electrical component, i tend to feel they're same; just for safety to see if anyone has experience with this brand

2. for canon one, why it's much cheaper (almost half price as i can find in US online store)? any tricky thing there? does any one buy canon cord from them?

any help will be appreciated

For the difference in price (about a dollar) why buy other than canon? If you are not in a hurry keep looking and a deal on a canon will come through. I got mine for $28 delivered, yes it wa sused but as described in mint condition and works like a charm (it is a Canon).

Add in the shipping and convert those pounds to dollars and it doesn't look like a very good deal for the Canon one. It's only $50 + shipping from B&H.

before i remember the canon cord cost about $88, now i rechecked iyt, it's only $50, and another brand is $39, almost same as ebay, so definitely, i'll buy from b&h
