CPL Question

Will a CPL make the colors & contrast of an image seem washed out when not properly adjusted? I have quite a few photos where I forgot to adjust the CPL & the pics seem hazey & flat. Am I right in assuming it was due to improper use of the CPL? TIA

Yes, as it filters out glare when properly adjusted, it'll filter out non-glare when improperly (assuming you didn't want it) adjusted.
