A Beautiful Orange God

Another LAAuto Show entry. I was just learning to use the Image Stabilization instead of flash in low light settings. f6.7 to get as much DOF as I dared - 0.7 second exposure hand held. I love that lens and I love this car.

Wow. That's pretty fantastic, considering I show signs of shake when trying to take interior shots @ 1/30 shutter speeds. lol

Here are my thoughts on this picture...

I love the fact that the car is the only thing lit up, and everywhere else is black, I donno if it is pshop or the picture came out like that but it is very nice indeed.

Maybe if you weren't going to take a picture of the headlights a shot from straight front at a higher angle would have been very cool, since there are lines on the hood of the car and the trunk is poped open...

Thanks for the comment. It was PSed, but not a lot. Below is the original, so you see that most of the background was already black. I just had to duplicate that on the right side.

I agree that a more front shot would have been very dramatic. The problem was that there was a wall to my left that prevented me from moving over in front of the car. You can see it on the passangers side bumper.
