USM, unsharp mark in photoshop, I have had a look in the links sticky but I haven't found anything, which means I am either blind and I should sale my camera, heaven forbid :)

I am looking for any links that deal with the best way of using this feature.

I have just come back from a easter hoilday and I had taken 2700 photos, and I would like to make the best of them :)

Thanks

Mark

Well I typically use 140% with .4 pixel, and 0% threshold as an all purpose sharpening. And just increase the % as needed.

one thing I learned that if I goto Adjustment ... Mode ... Lab

and I click the channels tab on the right, and click Lightness, and do an unsharp mask on that, then go back and switch mode back to RGB you get a sharper image, which doesnt affect the colors of the image.

But I myself dont have much information to offer about the unsharp mask other than what I generally use.
