Does anyone have any idea on how I can personalize the printing on a CD. I mean I understand that a program like nero lets you customize ur cover. But how do I print it on the CD? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

First you need a printer capable of printing to a CD / DVD. Epson and Canon have them at a very reasonable price. Then you need a program to compose your cover art which will usually come with your printer. There are several retail ones available, but usually the supplied ones work quite well. Finally you will need CD's and DVD's capable of having an image printed on them. Taiyo Yuden hub printable are considered to be about the best followed by Verbatim. It's like Canon vs. Nikon on that one. There is also a way of doing this called Lightscribe, but I don't think you want to go there....not what your'e wanting I think. Shout if I can be of any further assistance....:D

The CD / DVD's are available all over the world. Taiyo Yuden are made in Japan while Verbatim are made in Taiwan. They have a completely white cover right to the centre circle so you get every bit of print surface. Taiyo Yuden might be a little bit harder to find unless you live close to a bigger city. All are available through various mail-order suppliers of that sort of product. Go to a website called: www.afterdawn.com (http://www.afterdawn.com) and check around the forums there. You'll get a LOT of information from those guys. There's a special forum about DVD's and CD's....good luck with your burning.

I live in Dubai (UAE) as of now. My brother in law works for an IT company and they've got verbatim stocked up so a Spindle is coming home tomorrow (yaye to my sister..hehehe). About the printer..do u recommend any models? and is there any online freeware I can download for the cover art?

http://www.cdcovers.cc/covers Try this site for covers and labels. There are plenty of sites on the net. Just Google CD or DVD Covers and see what you get. As far as printers go, I have an Epson R340 that does discs. I have no experience with Canon printers as they've just come out with ones that can do Cd's and DVD's here in North America. Tell you brother-in-law they have to be "PRINTABLE" discs or they are no good to you. They're all white to the centre hole. DO NOT EVER use printed labels to stick on your discs. You WILL regret it.

Count my vote for the Epson offering. The included PrintCD software is very customizable. I use it to print regular CD's, DVD's mini 8cm CD's and Hockeyrink Business Card CD's.
