Huge Caterham and minuscule Ferrari grids were the order of the first car racing event of Snetterton. Only the second time I've used the new camera so comments would be great.
Pete :)

Love 'em. I heard it was good, aggressive competition with those Caterhams?

They were awesome, close racing to the last

More exciting than that F1 procession! Although, Lewis Hamilton added a bit of excitement!

Should get less boring when they get rid of traction control.

He did, but must have been a kick in the teeth for Jens...and can it get any more boring?!

Okay then. I like 4 and 6 a lot, although may I suggest a bit of PP to bring the colours up? they look a bit muted, especially as motorsport is usually such a colourful subject. And the 512 in picture 2 would make a crackin' shot on its own.

Just another chimper's opinion: some day I might even post some of my own shots....

agree, colours look a little soft, especially compared with Dovertons photos of the same event.

photoshop can be downloaded from Adobe for a 30 day trial, suggest trying ps elements first. Alternatively GIMP is free. Even Picasa has some basic image tweaking tools and thats free as well (quite a useful file manager on its own)

A bit of sharpening may help but its more colour / contrast I think needs tweaking.

I use Photoshop Elements 4, which is a very handy piece of kit. But for quick jobs like simple colour manipulation don't underestimate Picasa from Google. It's free, and both simple to use and highly effective. Give it a go before splashing out yer 70 quid....:)

In fact, I could give it a go if you don''t mind me hatcheting your pictures. It would also give me an opportunity to contribute something other than opinion to this rather splendid website.

Looking at these, they're nice. However, they seem a bit soft. Generally, nothing a little USM can't fix.

This is my first attempt at posting an image, so if it doesn't work, bear with me....

Finally, tweaked in Picasa, re-sized using Elements 4 (one thing Picasa can't do). No doubt Photoshop can do a much better job, but hey, Picasa's free and editing both images took no more than a couple of minutes.

Picasa can resize - select photo and press the export button - you get the opportunity to resize there...
