Coloring Problems

Hey everyone... Did some sports last weekend and not super happy with my results. Now just a few notes. Overcast day. 40 degrees. Turf Field. Adult 2-Hand Touch league. Setting info: 800iso, F5.6, speed between 1250 and 2500 depending on which image, Canon EOS 20D, 28-300 F3.5-5.6 with I/S. Uhhhh I think thats it :)

The photos just dont' seem to have that super crisp "tac sharp" sense to them and my even bigger issue is the coloring seems to be off. Of course 1 teams uniforms suck to that doesn't help. But even you can see on the verticle shot of the player with the red #20 jersey on his face is very pink. I can't seem to figure out why.

Any ideas are GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!! Thank you in advance!!!

I really like #3 and #5 Michael

would however suggest changing the width on the large images. The forum images maximum size is 800pixles wide to avoid scrolling.

it seems like a simple curves adjustment in Photoshop would fix these right up.....

Well I did try that and it fixed up SOME of the colors on some of the shots. However, I still can't get that pink fixed up. What's odd is that some have the pink issue and others do not. I'm wondering if my camera has improper settings.

I look around a hundreds of other sports photos and they look MUCH better than what I'm shooting for some reason.

maybe these guys really are pink faced, it looks like they're all working pretty hard....

I played around with one of your shots and as dekalbsteel says some curves, levels and USM adjustments and they look pretty good. As you do not have your image editing turned on I will not post but try a little different post processing and you should be able to bring out some good color and sharpness.
