Well, bit of a mad weekend this weekend.........Saturday was at the Warrington vs Hull KR match and then Sunday was the Widnes vs Wigan match.

Also it was the first outing with the new 1dmk2 that arrived on Friday...very very impressed! (all the pics, bar the last 2 were with that and the 300mm with 1.4x strapped on, the last 2 were the 1d with 70-200....all exif info is still intact on there however)

Anyway, here are the pics, a mish-mash from the 2 games. C&C welcome and thank you for looking!

Poor chap took a bit of a battering on Saturday, as did most of the Hull KR players....there's been a bit in the news about it from the Hull manager.

Oh and he missed that tackle.....

Outstanding work Paul, concrats with the new camera, 4 is a cracker;)

Cheers Jim - the Mk2 is such a step up from the Mk1, that said, I took some portrait shots of managers etc before the game with both the mk1 and the mk2 and the mk1 still has such a nice "feel" to some of the shots.

Think the shots from this weekend were about the best I've taken so far in terms of a full set.

I can't see the pics at the mo (work computer won't let me see pics hosted on photobucket) however am about 99% sure the image of the chap with the blonde hair standing on end in the tackle (Damien Blanch...it is pic #4?) was used in one of the national papers today, need to check 100% that its mine, but feeling rather pleased really.

Cheers gents - 'tis much appreciated........

The 8fps is good, but can hand on heart say I have never taken more than 4 shots in a burst with it. Was amazed though yesterday at the amount of frames that some people shot though, must have been a nightmare when they came to wiring pics!!
