Skyhoundz! Dogs in flight!

Yesterday i went to the Skyhoundz Canine Frisbee competition in Boynton Beach, FL. It was a little windy but I think all involved had a good time, especially the dogs!

If possible, position yourself to get a better background - the stands are distracting. Capturing the dog's face would improve shots like these as well.

Those are GREAT! My Aussie and I belonged for awhile! Dogs are something else! Not so easy to cature what you did. Action is so fast you feel like your shutter finger is moving in s-l-o-w mo!

I agree. That is one of the hardest things for me to get right...and sometimes at something like this it might not be possible. I did try many different positions. It was very hard to tell where the action was going to happen...long frisbee throw, short throw, gust of wind. I would get a good position for one toss and then the next would catch right in front of a judge! I'm going to try to put together some sequences and try some oob and see how they turn out. This will be a a learning experience in pp skills! Oh yeah...I had fun too!

You really did good. It's not easy at all to capture these, I would like to see other peoples shots that criticized or wanted more face or less stands....argghhhhhh!
