Riley - You've captured some excellent action but I think all would be a bit more interesting if you cropped them tighter. A good rule of thumb for sports images is to crop out anything that doesn't add interest if possible. In these images you can't crop out the fence but the trees and outbuildings in the backgrounds add nothing of interest and tighter crops would get rid of them.

Yea I would have to agree with you. For some of them I need a TC or a 300 :D. But some of the infield ones I need to pay more attention and fully use my zoom .

Funny thing is, my girlfriend and her friend play, though not on this team, and they say they always get told by coaches not too .

Some of those could be cropped horizontally to make more interesting.

A little blurry also.....camera shake?....too slow shutter speed? What shutter speed were you shooting and were you using a monopod?

I dunno what happened, I think it jumped off focus. I sometimes find that with center point AF, if I am not paying perfect attention, I don't move with the player right and it will start to mis focus :(. I don't trust using all AF point so oh well, I guess I'll just get a 1d :D
