Nice nostalgia shots. But it looks like shots 1,3,and 5 have some serious WB issues.

they havnt its just the way theve been processed trying to do something a bit different for the 4 most photographed gassers in the uk might be a bit too strong still trying to decided what a period photo from the 70's would look like

That explains it. At first I thought they were scans of old photos. Reminded me of some of the drag shots of mine that I found from the 60's and 70's. Now that I realize that you were after that effect, you're getting close.

I think 2 has nailed the 70's maybe....desaturated sortof thing. I dont have colour drag shots but I will lookup some ektachrome from 60's, My dads slides, if that helps...

Where was this shot?

Great series and I really like the PS'ing on them. You can't get any better than the nostalgia drags.

Love the A/FX car "Pandemonium." Really takes me back to the '60s and the birth of Funny Cars. Glad I got to see that era first hand, except it makes me an old dude now. The gassers look good, too. Don't know what to make of the red coupe. Not a gasser (no fenders) and little too modern looking for my tastes, but the photo is nice. They look like old prints left laying in the sun, then stashed away for us to find decades later.

Glad to see there is another old dude from back then. The only thing that seems to have gotten slower are cars. And me.

Very nice, number 2 stands out for that old school look.

Put me down for #4. Looks like the old 40 Buick we had when I was about 5 years old.

the 32 deuce coupe is no less a gasser than the rest as its built to the same rule book, several did run back in the day altho not a popular choice still sucessfull in their own way

word from the trackbyte machine is the circus will be even bigger this year and honky tonk has even more ponnies under the hood:cool:

Gassers without fenders is probably a modern interpretation. Gassers always had fenders "back in the day." It was in the rule book. Fenders and 10% engine setback = gasser. No fenders and 20% engine setback = Altered.
