Overall it's a beautiful picture. I have a soft spot for both rivers and Scotland. I had a couple of thoughts while looking at this. There are a lot of elements to this shot - the trees, the rocky hillside across the river, the bridge, the archs of the bridge, the big metal gate across the river, the river itself, the blue sky and the reflections of the aforementioned on the river. I know the river is the main subject because of the thread title. But maybe think "simplify" and crop out some of the other elements, recompose to make the river the star of the shot. I especially like how the river flows over the damn and down under the bridge and down around the corner. Is there any way to focus/follow that line? Like I said, gorgeous location, but I love water shots and I want to feel it more. Thanks for sharing! :)

Yeah, well exposed and captured, but I'd crop out most of the top, or recompose as suggested.
