Just got the Sigma 70 - 200 f2.8.. Wow its sharp.. even at 2.8 its sharper than my 50 mkII at 2.8 even at 200mm.. I did a side by side comparison of some shots I took withthe Canon 70 - 200 f28L and it is very hard to tell the difference!.. Though the HSM is slower, that is noticeable. However, the Sigma is lighter.

Congrats ont he lens... it's a nice lens to use... I love it. Are you going to get the 1.4x or 2x extender? I have the 2x... the 2.8 turns into a 5.6... but it's still has good quality in good sunlight.

Its in the plans.. Truthfully though.. would you ever use a 140 - 400mm lense anywhere else but outside in the sun?
