This was a 2 light shot. Softbox above his shoulder to light the side of the face, and snoot behind him. I wanted to use a snoot and light the wood turning since it was fairly reflective in hopes it would throw light towards the camera so it would light the shavings and his face from behind. Did I get that effect?

Can't answer your question, but that is one cool shot with the wood shavings flying everywhere.

Rim light or not, still a neat image. Selective color works well in my opinion.
