RC4 Problem with rethumbnail

The rethumbnail function doesn't work with file names that include spaces. Is there a quick workaround for this please?

The upload system takes care that no spaces are allowed in filenames (just to fight these incompatibilities in some filesystems). How did you get files with spaces in, are those from "old" EE?

I'll test this and see if there is quick solution. My ASDL was down almost 24H and I'l bit late on many things.

No, these were recent uploads using a vanilla RC4 the uploads work ok and create the thumbs and microthumbs ok.

The reason I now have a problem is that I had an accident with my thumbs directory which frontpage deleted for me and so i have needed to recreate the thumbs. I have about 80 picyures that have spaces in the names

I have got round this by creating the thumbs using Easy Thumbnails and ftp'ing. I think there is still an issue though, either with allowing filenames with spaces in the upload process or with the re-thumbnail process itself.

The easy way out is to make sure that you don't use spaces in filenames in the first place!
