Finally after much frustration got some closeup shots of this little bee. Body length about 8mm ID'd as Nomada fabriciana.

Excellent series of shots,

I love #1, I've had one of these on my Camilia but can't get near it yet I've sat there for ages waiting but the slightest movement even four feet away & it's off.

If your down this way over Easter call in for a cuppa you'd be most wecome.

Thanks for the kind comments all, think this is the only uk bee (apart from the other Nomada I've seen) that doesn't have uniform black eyes.
Almost got the impression they had given up trying to avoid me - managed to get close a few times. :)

#1&4 are with the 105mmEX with 33mm of ext tubes and #2 &3 are with the MPE-65.
