Tried another approach, this time using colored water. Using a small squeeze bulb for the drips I tried, but could not get the waterdrop/column collision. I think the next step is to build a small "macro" set to do this in, then i could experiment with the lighting. Thanks for looking.

Thanks folks, I appreciate the feedback. This was taken using my tamron 100-300 at 300mm, I need an extension tube set so I can move the camera closer,I'm using the remote and stretching to squeeze the water dropper. I goofed and left the f-stop at my birding setting of f/8 for most of the shots, and the last one at f/6.3 for some reason:confused:. Shutter speed was 1/200th as I used the on camera flash, camera on Av mode and the flash custom function sync set to always 1/200th. I need to invest in a flash unit. and maybe a macro lens...while I'm at it a 400 f/5.6 wouldnt hurt either..back to reality, Thanks again!

you need to do something about the strong shadows cast on the BG. Last one is great.

Excellent. I like a more solid color, but each his own, this is all about getting a great image, not color. thanks for sharing your project with us.
