Just got this beautiful watch, a Sinn 656, the watch band is a custom
one by a company called Don Juan
An expensive watch, especially for me, but one I've been longing for quite a while.

The camera does very well on the white balance, not much if any PP work
needed.

Nice shots.
But how do you get excited about a watch?

Nice shots.
But how do you get excited about a watch?

It's very addictive thing watches, this is my first expensive buy, ever!

Very nice choice, Gary! Sinn is a respectable brand and I've been meaning to get my hands on a 156.
I agree that it's way too easy to get into watches, especially mechanical ones. I've actually gotten into photography by way of watch collection - I run a watch forum, and posting photos of my watches has led me from using an S1IS to getting an XTi recently. Here are some of my pieces:

One of the things I find fascinating is the history behind some models. Speaking of history, your bracelet reminds me of the Olongapo bracelet. Members of the US military were fond of buying Rolexes, but especially in the Phillipines, they found that the original factory bracelets popped apart too easily for snatch thieves, so they got the local metalsmiths to create bracelets that were made of solid sheets of metal:

That last one reminds me of my old old Zodiac, not quite on par with a Rolex
but it weighed enough to be in the same room ;)
Nice shots too by the way! and thanks, I'm really enjoying this watch, very readable!

My three favorite and most expensive hobbies..Car, camera and watches! Not sure why I get so interested in watches, but there is something about them.
Thanks for sharing the pics and the watches...I just orderd a G7 myself!

Nice legmaker72, congrats!
Here is a closeup of the face, one thing I did notice,
dust shows up real quick on a black dial eh? :)

Say Gary, are the markings on the dial printed in Luminova? I think a lume shot would be great for that dial.
As for dust and such, it's always a bugger with things like watches, but I've found that those little microfibre cloths that you use for cleaning glasses do a great job of removing dust before you take your shot.

That's a shot I do plan on doing and yes, man does it glow! just the hands and the main
markers and numbers, not the minute marks inbetween.
and yep, I'm using that microfiber cloth but still that dust floats and settles almost as fast ;)
