I tried going in a different direction than my normal photography. I don't normally shoot this darkly, but I figured I might as well. C&C encouraged!

Last shot speaks so much. To see the shoes just hanging there. WOW. Great capture

The doors shots hold much potential, as they make the viewer wonder who or what resides beyond them . I would like to see them not too tightly cropped though, to give a sense of what their surroundings are. Good job on the silhouettes. In the building shot, I wonder what that comet-like thing is at the left of the building, and it looks like there are some cloning remnants on the right. That's a good shoe shot there, the lines and lighting make it interesting.

No cloning actually :)

Thanks for the comments.

The door shots don't do anything for me, but that's probably my fault in part as I loiter down such streets so often they become somewhat of the ordinary to my eyes. #7, is not fantastic, but I find myself drawn to it - the underexposure, the color the grittiness - it's very apt to the context of that environment. That's why I probably like it a lil more, as it has a little more of a context. Clear winner is the last though. Telling silouhette, with the perfect dusk light. gorgeous

As a graffiti artist myself, I'd say you could have found some better "tag's" around town to shoot. So those did'nt do much for me. The rest were really interesting shots. Good job.

Nice shots... I'll agree with the previous comment that the graffiti shots could be backed off a bit more, get the surroundings. I don't quite know what you are going for on the vine/wall shot?? As for the silhouettes, they are great, perfect color! The 'comet-like' thing is likely a plane contrail that is just starting to show up. Also, did you put the shoes up there or did you actually find that?!?
