i took some pics at a track meet and was hoping for some feedback. i was trying to capture more emotion than action this time. if anyone's got ideas/feedback for pictures of more than just action shots that'd be great.

I think these shots would work better for emotion if we could see the faces. #1 I think would be a good shot if it was done from the other side. #2 doesn't say much to me as he could be stretching or just kicking back.

This one definitely has more emotion in it. Now a good caption would be good so we know if they are celebrating a hard fought victory or a wrenching loss... The two faces now give me mixed emotions as the one on the left looks as if she is giving a salute and the other is crying. If this was a loss I would crop down to just the center girl. Either way I would also crop out the person on the right to draw more attention to the subjects in focus.

I find the 3rd shot very powerful, you've definately caught something there. I think they've lost, maybe to a disputable decision, feeling cheated? we'll never know. Great catch...

I must agree. The first 2 really don't show much. The foot to the right in #2 is in the way. #3 is a little better, but just seems a bit off to me.
