Three photos that I took a couple days ago. Weather was bleak, but I was in the mood for shooting, still managed to get a couple good shots before it went full overcast. Shot with Rebel XT and 18-55mm kit lens. Color/contrast/levels/resize were the only PP done.

1: doesnt have a clear subject, I dont know where to look.
2: neat, good shot, maybe crop out the building on the right.
3: oversaturated and over sharpened but kinda kewl looking anyway.

If you could somehow get the sky in number three to look like that in 2 you really have a good image in number two....just the sky is so blah. Other than that great potential

I like 2 and 3. the detail is great in 2 however I do think the focus point is almost on the leaf still great color and picture.

I see what you mean about number 2. Turning the camera verticle will help next time. Didn't think about that when I was shooting it though.

Number 2 was taken after number 3 and the sky had already gotten overcast so there wasn't anything I could do with it. With some better weather I could get it to work properly.

I like 2 and 3. the detail is great in 2 however I do think the focus point is almost on the leaf still great color and picture.

The focus point is on the leaf. I didn't try to get the focus point on the little stems tip. Something to work on with some practice.

Thanks for the critiques. It was very helpful and gave me some ideas and thoughts that didn't occur to me while I was taking them or in PP.
