See this thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=2999763) for the "minor" issues I had today. Despite these I got some images i'm really happy with, this is a very small very quick selection, with about 5 seconds of processing for each.

I love her head band and her bouquet is very intresting. I love lillies and never thought about having some un-opened buds in the arrangement....
my only real nitpick is the bridesmaids flowers being to high in the second one. I really like 4. beautiful bride!!!

Beautiful, especially the bridal party shot. I am shooting one April 20th, I'm very nervous, Tim. I don't know how you do this so much. I shouldn't question my skills, just go out there, but I get so confused and nervous these days. Need anxiety pills or something. You always seem to get it right even with issues.

Tim, the usual great work which I enjoy seeing.
The first one has the bride cut off on side which caught me oddly.
#7 has a streak across his chest which may need some of your PP attention. Not liking the background cutting through her head as well.
Enjoyed the work though as always.

Thanks guys :) I'd be happy with these even if my equipment worked 100%.

#1 I have lots similar just liked that one for some reason. #7 is lens flare, easily fixable.

Don't go for lillies in your bouquet on a warm summer day! My wife had some and they were a mess at the end of the day (and yes, they were already a small mess when we took the formals :( but it doesn't show too much on our pictures though :D)

Back on topic: Great pictures Tim, even more so considering the events of the day! I just love the groom's expression in the first one! He seems like a fun and funny guy!

I was wondering if you'd consider a vignette for #7? Also, that shot struck me a little: one can guess that the sun is at the camera's left, behind the B&G (not directly, but at an angle). Yet again, we see a shadow (from a flash unit, I guess) on the sand, behind the B&G... Just struck me as a bit odd looking... It may be something to consider when using flash outdoors

Is it just me or does the groom look a little like Paul Jr?

I don't know if you Kiwi's have seen their shows or not but their a famous family that builds custom motorcycles here in the states.

The bride and groom were both fantastic, I really enjoyed the day despite the problems. I can see maybe a tiny resemblance there, never heard of them. I did a "tough guy" shot I might post another day.

Sebastien - #7 has a vignette but i'll add more. I metered for the sky and lit the people with my flash, so yes there's a bit of side shadow, i've lost part of my flash bracket and even before that I never bother to use it any more. I love the effect of metering for the sky and using flash to light the people, i'd love to be able to use off camera flash as my main light but it's not really practical without a great assistant.

Very nice Tim. I had to chuckle a little while looking at these knowing what you went through to get them. They look so calm and happy, they had no clue that their photographer was on the verge of maddness:)
Great job! You're a true PRO!

And they'll never know about the problems. I may get a third body as a backup, or a 1D3 with two 20Ds as backup. Too many great images from this wedding to post.

Sorry to hear about your camera troubles (from the other thread). Glad you were still able to get some great shots!
The first one is funny. I don't like how the BM's neck is in the 2nd, or the position of her flowers, as Kathy mentioned, but it's still nice. 3 & 5 are cute, and I like 4 as well. Did you position yourself above her and get a picture focusing on that beautiful head band? She's very pretty, I love her dress. I like other images, too. I'm on vacation right now and am looking at them on a crummy screen, but they still look good. Too bad the bride's bouquet is so over powering for her small frame. I much prefer the BM's bouqet, but that's beside the point of the post I guess! :) Let us know how you like the 1D3, if you get one. Thanks! :)

Yes, and they don't always give you enough time for the B&G shots, let alone time to set up extra lighting equipment for each shot.

Wonderful shots, Tim. I like your lighting in these. For the first shot, what lens did you use and did you use flash during the ceremony?

I think at the time I was suffering from equipment failure, so probably just a 50mm F1.4 on a 20D with no flash.

Thanks Jamie, I appreciate it :) I've made some pretty significant changes to the way I shoot in the past month or so, though a lot is the same.

Ta :) I meter for the background and drop it down a stop, I guess I was ISO100 F12 1/250th. You have to stay within your camera sync speed. Light was with a speedlite on the camera, i'd like to use off-camera but it's too much work without an assistant.

I recently had my 1DMKII go wack on me during the 1st half of the final game at the Final Four. Luckily i was able to download the firmware, and reset the system and it worked again.

Basically crap happens in the most important situations.

Nice photos Tim. Glad you are happy with so many of them.

Why does that not surpise me? lol

Tim... you're scaring me man. I've got a wedding in about 3 weeks and I've only got my 30D and 20D to work with. I'm going to order a 5D on Tuesday when B&H opens up though. You are a true pro with the way you handled your situation, and your shots are fantastic. I love the angle on #3 and #5. #4 is just perfect too.

If you haven't seen American Chopper, you gotta see it - either on DVD or maybe you can see it online. I don't know if that's available. The bikes are absolute art!

why such tight crops on 1,2, and 3? seems like landscape would hve been better for 1 and 2 (body parts are chopped) - curious as to which lens was used on 3.

the one on the beach is beautiful, nice tones.

1 - see the thread I link too, camera failure.
2 - I shot wide and close, I liked the close.
3 - because I like it that way. That's not even what I consider a closeup, I sometimes get pics where the faces fill 2/3 of the frame, and cut off the top of the head. Someone around here has a sig "if your photos aren't good enough you're not close enough", something to consider.

They stood where the wedding party is in this shot

http://mrwild.co.nz/unprotected/wp/sg07/SGx.jpg

Light is from the side, little is probably bouncing from the back wall as will, and a little from behind camera probably. Natural soft box basically. Little bit of fill flash just to put a catchlight in their eyes.
