I work at SanDisk and have always loved their cards. I of course get the employee discount though so I jsut picked up a 2 gif CF Ultra card for 250 bucks shipped. Perfect job for my photography hobby :lol:

I just got that CF 1 gig thru Amazon that CDS is refering to. But I have to wait for a rebate to get it for $149.. This is a good deal. I should have waited :D It works fine in the 10d. At least as well as my Delkin Pro 512..

Hummmm,,, maybe I need another backup :?

I suspect that the price drop since I got mine 3 months ago is that they've announced a new "Extreme" CF from 256MB to 1GB. Minimum write = 9MB/sec. Minimum read = 10MB/sec.
No price listed yet that I've seen.

Yep that sandisk 1 gig was a good deal,, Its on the way... Now I got 2.5gig :D Should hold me for a while, at least until the Alaska Cruse :?

Can someone post the link to amazon/sandisk $20 rebate? I ordered the card over the weekend and waited until today to print the rebate... now I can't find it. They raised the price and it's being offered by calumet.

Did actually "Ultra II" and "Extreme" are the same things? Is it not just a marketing gimmic? Since both have the same read/write speed.

Extremes work better at more 'extreme' temperatures.
