I was reading this thread - http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30078 - and it mentions how Canon can map out a hot pixel.
Shouldn't it be possible for RAW image processing software to map out hot pixels?
I have a 300D and Canon's Remote Capture software can read all the settings on the camera. Using this information, software could guide a user through the necessary steps to take a 'black' picture ie lens cap on, ISO setting etc. The software could then apply algorithms to 'remove' the hot pixels.
Anyone want to write a PS plug-in to do this? ;)
