my lights are small home made, i don't think there big enough some c&c would be welcome

I think it's a little dark. In addition, it doesn't look completely sharp. She's very pretty though and seems comfortable in front of a camera.
Lastly, maybe clean up her hair a bit as there are strays on the forehead.

the light was at a 45 degree to her right side at face level here's another shot

The picture is either slightly out of focus or there is camera shake because of a too slow shutter speed. #1 looks blurry and her face looks sweaty/oily which isn't flattering for a portrait shot. It could be just too harsh lighting if you're using direct non diffused lighting.

the light is one of those curly flouresents about3 feet away not difused about equal to 200 watts, camera settings are
.8 shutter speed, f/8, 72mm. i tried a smaller aperature to get more in focus but she moved. auto iso

It will be virtually impossible to get a crisp photo hand held at those shutter speeds. Remember, 1/focal length as a minimum. You just need more light. Shoot wide open and you'll get most of her in focus.
