So I spent 14 minutes tracking this little bugger. I must have aimed 40 times, maybe more. This little thing bounced around like a ping pong ball in a bingo cage. Zip! Zap! Zipzip! Pow! BoingBoingBoingZipPow!
I took two pictures when it sat still for about 11 milliseconds. Here's one.

So the best I can come up with is a Pine Warbler, but the eyes don't look right. 3 books and 2 web sites later and I'm not any closer to finding a better match, yet I really don't think it's a pine warbler. Any ideas?

Nice pic,, It is an exact match for a bird in my bird book  My bird book says its a Regulus calendula, or Ruby-crowned Kinglet! (female) (same as male but lacking ruby crown)
but I think its a "justayellowstrippedwingbird" :D

Yep, I have to agree. Good job Jerry.
And LazyPhotographer got a (very quick) confirmation from a bird site.
Cool. I'm now up to 10 birds - I got a common crackle today (recognized it on sight!) but the pictures weren't so great.

Scottes -
Here's what the birders said about your pic so far:
"amazed at the quality of this pic. "
It's nice to see such a clear shot of one, you can see every detail.

Wow. That's pretty cool.
Thanks for posting it there, and thanks for passing that on.
I may just have to go over and start posting all my bird pics. I don't think that birders are used to the quality of L lenses. :)

Yeah, I did. I definitely retract the statement.
Unbelievable stuff Lazy! How do you do it? You didn't take all of them from a balcony, did you?
