Okay. This is really embarasing. I need to ask your opinion on where to go to take great pics in Yosemite. I know there is a bunch of entrances, but where do i go? Why is this embarasing? I have lived 2 hours from Yosemite all of my life...   :P

Thanks in advance

I can speak to Yosemite. I assume that you are going at this time of the year (April). The waterfalls and rock cliffs are great in the main part of Yosemite Valley. However, the "High Country" is mostly inaccessible. The Tioga Pass Road (Highway 120) is closed until roughly the end of May, so it is hard to get to Tuolumne Meadows for an ordinary person. I've been to Tuolumne Meadows on skis (carrying a Canon film camera, because it is lighter).

So, for April, you can enter the park via Highways 41, 140, or 120 from the west. Most of the land above 6000 feet is still going to be soggy from snow melt, so I would head for Yosemite Valley (4000 feet elev.).

Right now, as we speak, the best place to shoot is along the Merced River, not far from the intersection of Highways 140 and 41. Flowering dogwood trees along the river.

In a couple of months, this will all change. The wildflower blooming starts low, like 4000 feet, and then continues upward with the season. Blooming is about the end of July up at 10,000 feet.
