Ok before i get jumped on about shouldnt be charging for this and that, dont worry im not charging at all. It was my mothers friends wedding and she wanted me to take group shots of the guests as they come in for thank you cards, simple enough. I was not doing the actual wedding but she didnt mind if i did for fun if i stayed out of the way. Anyways, any opinions on this?
attached is the original and post processed. All opinions are welcomed please and also a different or any other PP you would have done. Thanks

Did you intend for the flowers on the door to be a focal point when you took the shot? They end up creating a split focus where the flowers and the couple are competing for attention.
I enjoy select focus, but here I don't think it works in the composition... and the colorization only exaggerates the effect.

Sorry, but it doesn't really work for me.
In this picture, the couple clearly steal the attention of the viewer. For one, they are lighter and the aisle leads the viewer's eyes towards the couple. Unfortunately, the couple is out of focus. I know you did this intentionally, but I had to look for a few seconds before I could find that it was the flowers that were in focus. It is a bit clearer in the image with selective coloring, but that one still doesn't work for me. The flowers are an accessory to the main topic of your image, not the main point of attention.
Just my $0.02. :) It's a good try to do something different though! Keep that shutter moving! :)

I think it makes a nice thank you card but would prefer the whole thing to be in focus. I understand what you tried to do with the selective focus and subsequent selective coloring but it does not work in this case for me, although the B&W is preferred mostly due to the WB issue in the middle of the color shot.
My subjective opinion and I'm sure others will :D it.

Oh dear I fear you may be in for a rough ride. If your intention was for an in focus (but underexposed) bunch of flowers with an out of focus wedding going on in the background then you have undoubtedly succeeded. If not then I am sure you will get a lot of helpful tips.

I didnt even notice the flowers until i read a few post's, it doesnt work, your idea was fine but the object you chose to focus on i dont think was the right choice.

I agree w/Tmosley... I didn't even notice that the flowers were in focus until I read the posts... It's not working for me.

I am sorry, I am afraid it doesnt work for me either. The couple is the important part of the day. While you want shots of what was going on around them too, for a thank you card it should be all about the couple.
Also in this oarticular shot everything just seems out of focus aside from the flowers to the very right.. and those you cant even see at first because they are in a dark corner, which makes the picture very confusing.
I think its wonderful that you got an opportunity to practise. Did you take more shots? Maybe show a few more to see a variety.
As far as thank you cards go, maybe they should take one of the pics the pro took. Or did you maybe take one of just them as a couple?

Neither work for me either. Granted, I am not a pro at shooting weddings, but both of these are way off. The color in #1 is out of whack. The blues throw everything off. With 99% of the image blurry, it is very distracting.

Well i'm a coward when it comes to special occasions as weddings etc and stick to Landscape, wildlife and motorsport...... but my opinion for what it is worth..... (nowt)
That just does not work and I for one would not even show that to the Bride and Groom unless as stated above as a thank you card with Text over the blurred couple.
