Car Poster Design Tips ?

This is my first time at shooting cars and the first time I had to photochop an image to clean it up.

I created the poster out of two images that I took on a photoshoot, I had to remove things like the wipers, number plate and shadows from the original image to make it a simple looking image, I did this because its a simple looking car and the black and white contrast works well.

My question is have many people on here done work with car posters (or any posters)? what kind of design layouts do you use ? obviously something like this is open to disussion but are there any golden rules that work for poster design ?

I think this looks pretty good, but my only complaint is that the tires on the bottom picture are lost in the background. I think brightening the tires would help out a lot but other than that I like it.
