So the Budweiser Invitational was yesterday and seeing as it was a horse event, of course I went. These three are a few of my favorite shots.
All have had slight color adjustment, and the third had quite a bit done to it. I know the third looks a bit dark, but its not that dark when its bigger. The actual event was inside the Raymond James Stadium, and it was dark. So difficult to get a good shot in the low light. Any comments/critique as how to make it better next time is much appreciated! Thanks!

I personally like #1 and 3...with #3 being my favorite. The dust and the movement is right on.
#2 IMO looks a little flat. Granted you were shooting indoors (at least that's how it looks) and were shooting a moving target.

The 3rd one is superb....really captured the sense of movement very well.....but the background spoils it......I'd be tempted to cheat and put a new background in with PS ?

Really good photos... one can really tell the horses had plenty of beer.

I wonder what you would do if you could slow time and reshoot the second image again. Would you have decreased DOF?... I love the image, but usually once I look at it on my screen, I tend to ask myself this sort of question. What was the thought process and your vision when you decided to take that photo?... (I am not looking to judge, but to learn from how others think while taking photos).

Congrats, :)

Thank you all very much. I love shooting horses. The third is also my favorite, it made it to my desktop background. I've thought a little on changing the background, and would like to do that. I've never done a complete background change, just edited. Since the trucks are in the whole background I would need to find something else to match back there correct? Or would I clone the ground over a lot of it?
The second is probably the best shot inside that night. Like the sharpest and closest and stuff. With that particular jump my camera didn't even get to see anything where the horse is until the last second. I'm proud of my Sigma 18-200, it did quite well. There was a lot of other stuff the camera tried to focus on as well, so that made it hard. I had to get as much light in as possible and not worry about DOF at the time. Thats something that can be edited in PS like I did with the lunging photo. I need to get a monopod. Anybody have a suguestion for a good one thats not real expencive (and maybe where to buy it)?
Here is the original of the third image just so you'll know what I've done to it:
