I'm visiting a friend up north this week, and on the way back I thought I might swing by the brecon beacons in wales to do some waterfall/river shots.

Can anyone recommend a good location? I am from way down south and I have no knowledge of wales at all! I haven't even been there before!

Really I need a very specific location, and one that is close to a road/parking spot.

Any help would be great!

Cheers
Tom

I didn't know Brecon Beacons was an actual place, until this post. I just thought it was a good Supergrass song (http://www.secretworldofdave.btinternet.co.uk/supergrass/audio/wma/780404.wma)

Sorry I can't help you with location. Make sure to take a polarizer, and ND filter to get a nice "flowy" effect. Enjoy your trip, and post your results.

Tom,

They actually call the Brecon Beacons "the waterfall country" or something like that, so you should have no trouble.

I can't give you specific locations but use the search term of "waterfall brecon beacons" in Google and you will get lots of photographs and location names, lots with specific details. Then use www.streetmap.co.uk to get yourself some maps of the area to look for close parking etc.

This week coming looks good for photography as the weather continues to be changeable (April showers), so lots of big clouds, showers, sunshine etc. Deffo. have a polariser with you and a tripod.

Also remember that there has been quite a bit of rain the past few days, so many middle to low level waterways will be quite high.

Edit - To post a link to a page with some waterfall details (http://www.ystradfellte.com/Pages/3-2.HTM)

Cheers
