Don't do it.
Not stable enough to be anything of value
Too heavy and bulky to have any use as a monopod
So its the worst of both worlds

A sales guy at a camera shop I stopped in tried to convince me that if I bought one of those, I wouldn't need to bother buying a head for the monopod. Just screw the pod right into the camera, extend the feet and it stands perfectly upright! Said he does it all the time with his N* D100.

I have extenders on the monopod I bought from somone here. Very nice
piece of equipment, but the extenders are very shaky and don't hold the
monopod firmly upright at all.

I was beside someone who was using one of those when it tipped over with a 1D and a 70-200 F4 on it. The 1D survived the fall, apart from a lot of scratches, but the lens was a total write-off. Don't do it, they are an accident waiting to happen.
