Has anyone fitted a Canon 10D with 300mm f4 + 1.4x extender into one of these? (All fitted on the camera that is).
They describe the inside height as 33cm, I would say the camera + lens is fractionally smaller than this, but would I need more leeway than 0.5cm?
Thanks

I don't have the 300f4 but I do have the Lowepro Micro Trekker 200. Inside this micro marvel I can hold :
Canon D60 with Sigma 70-200ex f2.8
Canon EOS 55 body
Canon 17-40 L F4
Tamron 28-75 XR Di F2.8 and lens hood
Spare Batteries and accessories
Sigma EF500 Flash and spare batteries, Lightmeter ( in outer zipped compartment
Its a great bit of kit to lug your gear around in. I advise to get one in a black colour so its not obvious you're carting expensive gear around. It looks like any common rucksack then. Its weatherproof and comfortable to carry, even with a heavy load like this. Recommended! 8)

Sounds roomy, but can you fit in your D60 with your 70-200 lens attached? What's the length of that combination?
Thanks

PS....I'm sure your camera will fit in. Try going to a Lowepro dealer with your gear and try one out!

Camera + Lens together = 10 inches
D60 Height = 4 inches ( approx three quarters of an inch below the compartment height )

Tony, you're a star! Thanks.
I would have gone to try it out but it's absolutely pouring outside.

Get the mini. It's not that much bigger, but you'd be surprised the difference. I don't think the mini could handle that. It will not handle the 10D with a 70-200 or 100-400 with 1.4TC attached. Without is pushing it with anything else much in the pack. The mini has much more elbow room.
I have both the mini and the micro.

Yes but it's so ugly and has no pockets! A pocket at the front at least for bus pass, keys, maps, notepad, pen would be so handy, rather than having to open up the main compartment, thus showing all and sundry what's inside.
I think I need to do a bit more research.
Thanks anyway guys.

? They look almost exactly the same...The mini most certainly does have pockets. It has a huge pocket on the front of it that stores quite a load with all sorts of little dividers for whatever suits your fancy. No need to open entire pack to get to it.

Yup. Can't disagree with you there...

Don't forget to take the added height of a tripod ring and quick-release plate into consideration if applicable. They add an inch to the height of my 10D.
