I just wanted to let everyone know that the people at Eastgear were very friendly and accomodating to me. I bought a PD70X about a year and a half ago; I don't see it anywhere on their site, but I'm pretty sure I read on the box that the warranty was for one year.

A couple of weeks ago my PD70X (which has worked beautifully until this point) stopped recognizing memory cards of any kind. All of the hard drive functions still worked; I just couldn't use the device to download anything. I Eastgear an email asking if I could pay to get it repaired or replaced. After asking me to try a couple of different troubleshooting things, they offered to fix it for me; I just had to pay shipping both ways (total of $40 because they use FedEx International priority). There was no charge for the repair/replacement (I'm not sure which as I don't have the device back yet).

I shipped it last Wednesday and got notification that Fedex received a package for me today (Monday) :D.

I bought one of these devices about 2 years ago and have been very happy with it.

Its always nice to know these people are on hand to help and not just take your money and run..

Nice story..:)
