these are beautiful! I love the colors! Perfect focus in the ring/bangle shot. (3rd image) I also love the last pic! I am so glad color is becoming more popular in the US dresses.

What's up with those hands?
Thats called Mehndi or Henna as its known in the western hemisphere.
The bride and close females in the family on both sides usually have it done the night before the wedding and it usually lasts about 10 days.
Josh,
You captured the event really well... don't usually post in this section of the forum but i really like the pictures you've posted so far. Would love to see more.

this is eastern cermony for muslims in india and pakistan, about the hands they like to color them with anatural herb called HENNAH, they use it to tint the hair also and for the hands and legs, you can say its like tattoos not exactly but you can say that....

Cool, I've been to many Muslim weddings before and as you now probably know, they're full of so much color!
Just curious...What body and lens(es) were you using?

the colors were beautiful, i'm usually a sucker for black and white, but i couldn't bring myself to convert any of these...yet. i was using a 30D with a 17-55 2.8IS, and an 85 1.8

Muslim/indian weddings! So much color :) I've done a few so far and I really enjoy them!
Some nice candids there! The first one seems a bit soft. I'm just not too fond of the vignetting in #5. It seems a bit off to me... Also, I don't know if it's my non-calibrated work monitor, but I'd check the white balance in those pictures. It doesn't seem very consistent.
Keep that shutter moving! ;)

Love the rich colors!
and the photo of the feet - love it! It's surprising how much the feet can say. :D

you can see the nervousness in the bride's feet. also, there is a ritual (apparently) at muslim ceremonies where the groomsmen steal the groom's shoes, so there is some significance to it.

Love those colors! Slightly over expose and punch up the color even more! IMO.
Nice work!
