Need some input/guidance on a potential craiglist purchase (lightset)

I've got someone offering the following equipment via Craigslist. (local sale)

$450 for the following:
One MPP1000 Sunpak 1000ws Strobe with full to 1/8 power setting, with snoot and honey comb. One Britek Pro 750 with snoot and 4 foot oct. softbox both with 250w modelling light and one 100ws britek flash with 24x24 soft box that I would normally use as hair light and one 10x20 back drop.

I'm not too familiar with any of this equipment. I did some quick searches and came up w/

$429 for the Britek Pro 750
$354 for the MPP1000 Sunpack

I'm waiting for a response to see how old the equipment is. Can someone w/ more experience than I advise on this deal? Is it fair, a steal, or should I pass?

I would definitely pass at $450.00. Actually I would even pass at half that amount.

Thanks Lon...I honestly thought it was a pretty good deal. I know those retail prices can really be deceptive. Anyone else want to chime in on this deal?
