General questions and I'm not really sure where to put them. Where is a good link to find information about quality lighting kits other than a salesman or internet add. Other questions I think I'll just keep searching before I ask them...except 1. a GREAT quality printer. I would like to print up to say 20" so fairly capable on size.

lighting, continuos or strobe? on location or studio? mono block or power pack + heads?

As for printers, An Epson4800 or Canon ipf5000 can do up to 17" wide by xxx on a roll, or go up in sixe to a Epson 7800/9800 or Canon ipf 8000 to get the same but wider. The 7800 will do 24" wide, but has no sheet paper holder, so its really for prints only.

The results are amazing, archival and cheep per print.

I got 2 soft box lights ( not insanely high in the wattage with a small strobe or flash) Right now I am looking to learn more about studio lighting. I have a horrible tendancy to DIVE into hobbies when I get them. I would however like to have a couple lights and a strobe or 2 for a "on location" type of shoot because there is a gorgeous area that's very isolated here in Orange County with running water rocks and green all around that I would love to shoot with some controlled lighting. From what I hear I won't get "pro" quality out of a 400D however I would like to get as close as possible (typically I shoot 200 iso and below)

I appreciate the info on the printers a couple of those I have already been looking at just hoping I wouldn't be disappointed.

Or any links to threads that include good information that seems to be entirely abundant on this website.
