I'm looking at canvas wraps as a new way to show off my images.

It's not cheap at around 70.00 for a 11x14 at MPix.

Does anyone use canvas wraps? Quality?

My house has lots of windows and glare is always an issue. I could print in matte and then buy non-glare glass, matt and frame or go the canvas method. http://www.mpix.com/productsinfo.aspx?prod=12

Thanks for the help.

Main thing I use is conservation glass over the prints to protect them from the sun! Matte finish and canvas do cut down on reflections, but sometimes don't translate well to the finished image...really depends on the subject matter when it comes to printing on other mediums.

I've never heard of conservation glass.

Well my images are never mounted on a wall that gets any direct sun. But there is enough light to be a glare problem when trying to view most photos under glass.

Conservation glass is tinted and has UV inhibitor to stop fading from exposure to strong light. Here is some excellent framing advice.

Thanks.

My original post still stands if anyone has any experience with canvas, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

I should have clarified my answer yesterday...I did two images in canvas like that...and was less than impressed with the results...images that have some softness built in are much better candidates for canvas mounts. I did a flower that came out fairly well...and a skyline/sunset shot that lost too much detail for my taste.

Sorry about that...

I print mostly landscapes and all by MPIX on
the Kodak Metallic paper. I'm currently framing the largest I've had done, 16x20, can't wait ot see it finished. My wife really wants me to do a large canvas wrap of some petrified wood but I hate to spend $150.00 and be disappointed.
