"What do you get when you multiply 6x9?". Since this equation only works out correctly in base 13, obviously the human experience is flawed and we can never know the meaning of life except indirectly. What do you get if you multiply six by ... nine?Been there, done that, got my towel . . .But POTN wouldn't be half what it is (and Pekka's bandwidth bill wouldn't be half what it is) people didn't repeat other people's answers...

I would get more charged up about games if the players were actually from the state/area their team represents. The Indianapolis Colts mean nothing to me because none of the players are Hoosiers. Who cares if they win? They aren't "us". Of course this would screw up the entire draft mechanism. They're not "you"? They're at least American, probably, most of them. Over this side of the pond the press are getting excited about the prospect of an all-English final to the UEFA Champions League - the semi-finals are Chelsea/Liverpool and Manchester United/Milan - but this week these 3 "English" clubs fielded a total of 10 English players between them in their starting line-ups. I've been a Manchester United fan since I was 6, but these days it's a sort of "our over-paid foreigners are better than your over-paid foreigners" sort of game.

umm not to sure, but it could have something to do with how the universe doesn't give the right answer to the right people, that are sitting on your right, using the right hand to control the camera. or something like that.

You get a good lens cleaning this way too and you won't need to go to Woolburr's camera shop! After about three applications of Petromalt the disgusting red ring will be gone!

well not that I have seen, and more than likely not. I'm not a fan of mayo myself, and I would hate to think someone could be missing out on it :)

Is this just another post or is this true? I love Miracle Whip :DYup, I really do.

Mayo just tastes greasy to me, and Miracle Whip by itself, isn't much better. Put it with mustard, and it changes character completely.

Miracle Whip is good when it's mixed with equal parts of spicy brown mustard.Mmmmm. Dijonaise, mayo with a bit of a bite. You might also try mayo with horseradish. Bites even harder and if your nose is stuffed, it will clear it right up.

Try this, empty a small tin of Chipotle peppers in a blender and puree. Then add about 8oz of Mayo or Miracle whip. It makes an awesome veggie dip.

Another great mayo recipe.
1/2 cup mayo
1 can green chillies
1~2 tbs soy sauce

Getting back to the original point of this thread. This forum was once a place where you come and ask a serious question and get a serious answer. It has lost some of its professionalism by those that want to mock and make humor about anything. I know there will be those bright witted posters who will do the same to this post. So be it. I find now if I want to find out something accurate I need to go to another forum that offers those opinions supported by fact.

I absolutely and completely agree with the original point of this thread, but don't you think it's good to have a little fun sometimes? I think this has been one of my favorite threads in a long time. There's a time for seriousness and a time for fun. I think there's room for both here. I enjoy a good laugh once in a while.

I say if you're looking for a totally serious answer to a serious question, don't go to the "general chat" section. ;)

There are very serious threads on this forum, this just happens to be one of the silliest.

Sure I enjoy a fun thread but start it as that. Do you think that the OP intended for his thread to become this. He posted it in the "general chat" section. So if anyone posts a question in here cylentka, am I to assume that you feel it is fair game for anyone to turn it into anything they want. It is not only happening in this forum to seriously toned posts but in virtually every forum on here. I could point you to many that this happens.

I guess I don't understand the problem. Again, I completely agree with you that the OP's question in any given thread should be answered in a serious manner. I don't agree that it should be strictly kept to just that unless the OP intended the thread to be "fun". In fact, I think the reason this thread turned into what it did is because we are all just using absurdity to support the fact that we agree with his/her point.

and yet, perhaps this IS what the OP intended...and since you don't know, perhaps you'll hold your soap box until it is determined...

my point: not everything has to be abusive, argumentative or contradictory in order to be helpful....and just an FYI humor goes a LOT further than condescension if one is attempting to make a point.

Early morning factoid:

The Killer Whale, or the Orca, is actually more of a dolphin than a whale.

Carry on.

puddlepirate44

Um, Puds, aren't dolphins whales in the first place?

Nope. Two different families. Dolphins originally came from Schenectady, NY. Whales from somewhere in the Southwestern region of the UK. The Whale family had their names changed at Ellis Island when they immigrated. Their original name consisted of too many consonants. I think it was Wwhhylls, or something like that.

It's all true.
