Gave the Eagles a day or 2 off. Here are a few never posted before small bird photos. I hope you enjoy.

Most of them are back yard birds but are probably as pretty as the raptors And you need to get a lot closer to small birds even wuth big lens.

Well Gary, no problem for you to transition to the smaller birds, a great series here, I'm with Mitch, that sapsucker draws my attention, gotta get me a shot of one of those.:D

The sapsucker shot is top notch. All the shots are good!

Excellent shots. It's hard to choose a favorite here but I think if someone twisted my arm that I would go with the Yellowbellied Sapsucker. Super sharp with great details. :-)

I believe small birds give a chance for everyone to take pictures and post them. There is more beauty that pass through most back yards then most people ever see.

They are quite comon around here, I just wanted to show that even if you don't have Eagles you can take pretty pictures of Backyard birds. Thanks for looking and commenting.

I really would love to know which photos you are going to submit. Do you have any Idea what kind of pictures they are looking for? Some may be too graphic for the tree huggers but they are outstanding photos.

As always, great images Gary. The Sapsucker is terrific but so is the Red-Headed Woodpecker. Aw heck, they are all super. Excellent job.
