Well, it is Vancouver, and it rains....a lot! The weather in Spring can vary from hot and sunny to snow within days. This shoot (March 24) was forecast rain and the ceremony and reception were being held in the same room which meant we had to vacate for 3 hours while the room was reset and the caterers moved in.

A few days prior I had phoned around and finally got the loevly people at the Airport Fairmont Hotel to allow us to use their lobby (THANKYOU!!!!!!).

Here are some of the results. cc welcomed.
Shots 4,6,7 and 8 are from my second shooter (my partner), processed by me. I think she did an awesome job!

#7 is my fave- very classy shot! Shame the groom isn`t playing the piano too!
#6 could have framed the hands a bit tighter.

Nice series though. I`m sure the B&G will love them.

The dress seems blown out in 3, 4, 5 and 6.

#1 is different but I think I'd like a slightly different cropping. The reflection steals the attention for me and the couple isn't fully visible in it (their heads are chopped off in it).

I would like to see #2 in a vertical crop. The background isn't exactly outstanding, it doesn't add any framing and overall, the empty space doesn't really add anything to the picture. Might as well make it an up close and personal shot instead.

4, 5 and 7, I like (other than for the blown out part) :)

Thanks - I thought she did well on that one. I was round the other side taking a different shot when she took it. It's very grainy but I think it holds it well.

#1 was an experiment which I know didn't quite come off - there wasn't enough room to get more of their reflection in - there were 8 people in the limo!!! It is something I will revisit another time though.

I don't think the dress is blown out at all. There is detail in the front panel which is the only part of the dress with any patterning. The side panels are plain and you can still see the way the material hangs and folds.....at least on my monitor
;)

I have a vertical closer crop of #2 also.

I think post-processing is very subjective and I'm always interested in everyone's opinions. I personally like bright, slighter over-exposed images (1/3-1/2 stop), but that's just me :D

Thanks for looking.
