Lens to use for wedding

One of my friend is getting married this coming June and I wanted to get some shots. and wondering which lens should i bring. What i have is the Xti, Sigma 17-70mm, Canon 50mm 1/8 and 70-200mm F4. T

Just don't bug the pro or get in they way. And don't shoot the same stuff the pro is shooting. Your friends don't need a non-pro copy of the exact same thing they're paying for. Get the candid emotional moments the pro is NOT getting. Your friends will love your shots dearly if you do this!

I agree with Lloyd. All of them will become useful throughout the day ;) But it depends what and when you want to shoot. But if you have the space and the will to bring them all, I'm sure they will all come in handy at some point ;)

Why would you limit yourself to just one? I take 6 lenses to every wedding. And most of the time I use all of 'em.

I think nismosr is talking about shooting as a guest and not the hired pro. Why you would bring three bodies and a laptop as a guest is beyond me Kim... LOL! I'm just teasing. But do you really bring all that as a guest?

as said above, take em all - I take 5 normally and 6 sometimes and generally use 4 or 5 !

Actually I'm one of the groomsmen too, but I will have the gf do the shooting while maybe during the ceremony and I'll take care the rest on the reception. I will take everybodys advice to bring everything.

? I know I wouldn't... what guest wants to lug around 10 lbs of gear at a wedding? A much better option would be to bring a camera with one lens and maybe a small prime in a jacket pocket or something...
