I presume as I cant see it on the charts:
they seem to have so much variation it hardly matters if they wipe out our indigenous species?

It certainly looks like a harlequin to me.

It looks to me like the one at bottom left of the three pics 'axyridis succinea'

Lovely shot RM- certainly looks like a Harlequin- I tend to go ny the face plate which has much more white on it in most Harlequins.
