Don't apologize for shooting Nikon. :D Personally, it came down to Nikon or Canon when I was researching which camp to invest in, so they're definitely at the top of at least one list. If you could shoot with a Brownie and get good shots, I think they've got a home in any forum that considers itself geared toward even the mildest of photography enthusiasts.

That out of the way, I'd say I like the emotion of the shots, but they seem a bit on the soft side. Where were you shooting from (looks like 1st base line)? Seems like it was overcast that day.

Nice to see another Michigander, I don't think I've ever spoted you here before Rodrigo.

Are all these shots straight RAW to JPEG conversions? I ask because some of them seem to be soft and not very contrasty, and with a couple the white balance seems off.

I don't know if "Leave it alone" is your style but I think that these shots could use a little post processing. Happy shooting.

Looks like you caught some great expressions in the series of shots, but I'm not digging the crops on some of them... including the one posted here. I like tight crops, but these are a little too chopped for me. You didn't provide any EXIF data, so I'm not sure about shutter speed, but it seems like it might have been a little slower than needed to fully stop the action. But who knows what kind of light you were dealing with this early in the year. Great action you caught though.

i did shoot raw then convert to jpeg... it was one of the first times i shoot raw so i had a little trouble with it when i converted them. I did do some PP but now that i look at them they do seem off. As for the tight crops, i was shhoting around from every where and trying to get as much facial expression as possible.. i wanted tight because im trying ot get used to it for next football season.
