I've gone from

Taken in July last year with a 30D and 17-85 IS
to
http://www.the-aperture.com/EE/photos/normal/IMG_2129.jpg
Taken last weekend with a 5D and 100-400L
This improvement over a bare 10 months is largely down to the contribution, encouragement and advice I recieved on POTN in that time period.
I very much doubt that I'd improve so much being anyplace else.
Or spent as much money!!

Thanks Wanda, but I'm really nothing in relation to what others here have posted.
For the next year, I was planning on breaking into the G&N section, but on further reflection, I don't think even a full frame camera is wide enough for my rather full frame..

Have you tried the 100-400L on the track yet? I bet you'll see some spectacular result there!

Still waiting to get a chance at that one, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm in dire need of both time and money to go to such events.

Yes, beautiful shot. It's amazing how much gear I've collected and how different I shoot now since joining. I don't know if I'm any better, but really going out there and trying.
