Does anyone know of some good stock photography web sites?
I've got a few pictures that I would like to sell but I'm unsure about the whole process ???
I've searched & come up with a few sites already, I don't know if they are any good or if they're going to take me for a ride ???
Some help / suggestions would be appreciated :D I don't want to get ripped off :( :?

garethhhhh I checked into some stock agencies and what I found was most of the legit ones didn't want to talk to anyone without them having at least 200 images to submit. Now granted this was a few years ago and maybe the digital revolution has changed the way they work but, then they were only interested in slides.
Recently I have looked into stock again but not real seriously I did find this site that was kind of helpful, Look at stock section (http://www.ephotozine.com/freelance/). Besides the stock advise, it was a good site for freelance operations.
Hope that helps.

garethhhhh ... you might want to check your local bookstores to see if they have a similar product to one marketed in the U.S. and Canada. It's titled 2004 Photographer's Market and lists several thousand outlets for selling photos to stock agencies, specialist mags, etc. Might even be worth your while picking up the North American edition since it also has worldwide listings. As for stock agencies, most do require a large amount of photos, and this book gives the specifics. Good luck.

Check this site: http://www.alamy.com/
It looks promising, no upfront cost. They require to put together a CD of 15 images and send it to them for evaluation.
