Does the RC1 wireless remote work with the 30D? And if not, what will? TIA!!!

I know the RC1 does not work, but as for advice, you will have to wait for the next post!!

No, it won't. The 30D, by itself, does not support any type of wireless remote capability, IR or RF. You can get RF remote sets, like the PocketWizard, or IR remote sets like the LC-5 from Canon.

If you mean the link that Curtis gave us, I have one. I use it on occasion, and not as an "every day" thing. But it does work. Curtis says it all in his review. I bought it a few weeks before Curtis did with exactly the same attitude - if it breaks I am out $40.. no big deal, but as long as it works I am ahead of the game. So far, I am ahead! :D

btw - I do use the wired portion of this device very often. (a few times a week) - it works flawlessly.

Been thinking about grabbing myself one of those from Link for a while. BTW the other units they talked about above are the same anyway lol.

Actually, I was refering to the Ebay Link that was posted above...sorry for the poor explination....LOL

Anyone tried that one? there is another one on Ebay as well...similar and similar in price...

Yup, got this one. Have only tested it, not used for field work yet. Good for at least 3 meters, or until I run into the wall in the house. Haven't had time to test further.
